The year is 2025. The Volturi have become more ruthless then ever after Romanian vampires tried to defeat them and become the leaders of the vampire world again. The Volturi got all strings in hand again, but the rebels remain. They achieved the goal they had at first, killing the Volturi leaders, the three kings ( Aro, Caius and Marcus) are dead as three other well fair Volturi members took it over.
The new leaders have their own rules but are trying to keep the general ones intact. Problems remain in Forks too, Bella and her family have lived through a hell. The rebels have killed many humans including the father of Bella. And the rebels don't plan on stopping any soon.
The Denali coven has been trying to fight their own war in Alaska. They try to get rid of the rebels on their own, and though they calmed down, it's not something to count on. It's up to the Volturi leaders to decide how they are going to handle this business.
