{ RENATA NICOLE ROUSSEAU }

NAME ;; Renata Nicole Rousseau
AGE ;; 19, 657
SPECIES ;; carnivorous vampire
GENDER ;; female
SEXUALITY ;; bisexual
SPECIAL ABILITY ;; Much like Bella when she becomes one, she can create a shield and protect her coven, she can divert powerful attacks. If someone stepped forward with the intention of hurting someone, then she could make them walk away, forgetting where they were.
HAIR DESCRIPTION ;; Renata has red hair, vivd red hair. Though back when she was human, she kept it short so it would be a little cleaner, before she died she had cut it to shoulder length, and it's usually straight with a small curls in them.
EYE DESCRIPTION ;; Probably the most well known features she had as a human, she had big, hazel eyes. After her awakening, she no longer as that color, it has been replaced with a dark, vivid red.
BODY DESCRIPTION ;; Renny doesn't look like a vampire. She's thin and a little above average in height. But don't be fooled, for her age, she's a formidable opponent and is equipped with supernatural speed, strength and senses.
PLAY BY ;; Susan Coffey
FULL PERSONALITY ;; Oddly, Renata only wants to do the right thing. She wants to keep the law, which was created for vampires, and in a way, to keep the peace. She is seen to be a pacifist and really has no desire to go into a frenzy for blood, nor is she seen to have a violent streak like Jane does. She tries to keep the peace within the house, which is rather hard, and when she found that such a thing was impossible, she always moved back to her position next to Aro, seeming at a loss of what she should do. She believes her main priority is him, since her power could protect him even at the most extreme moments.
Humans- she isn't exactly hateful of them, merely envious. They had something she used to have, but lost it unwillingly. To strangers, she really doesn't talk much, people often could say that she is shy and doesn't like crowds- which is true, but she can't be bold at what she wants. The thought of just going outside- even has a human- and just talking to someone she liked terrified her. Maybe terrified wasn't the right word, but it scared her. She wouldn't know what to say. In the coven she is what is known as the black sheep, having views that differ from the others and not fitting in as a vampire in the Supernatural world.
She is very intelligent though. A skilled chess player, and a great strategist, she knows her way around the battle field, and can observe someone and pluck enough information from them to make her move. But being a pacifist, she doesn't care enough to jump into battle. Her area of expertise is defense, not attacking. But she would do what she has to to fin, failure isn't an option for her.
FAMILY ;; She doesn't have any siblings, but her mother is Jane and her father is Ethan Rousseau
BIRTH DATE ;; March 6, 1353
DEATH DATE ;; September 7, 1372
CURRENT DWELLING ;; Volturi, Italy
HISTORY ;; Since the age of the ‘Black Death’ had just ended, the Rousseau family was left in ruins. It was only about ten years after did her parents finally tried to have another child again, since the first one turned to be a miscarriage and they feared that they would pass the sickness on to their newborns, they didn’t dare attempt, merely using isolation and building a home near (and hidden) by the woods to try and deflect the disease. Renata was born into poverty, her parents spent time laboring outside for some crops and food for her, trying their best to keep her healthy. Unfortunately, she was a sickly child, and often she was bedridden, unable to help her parents as the plowed and slaved in the heat or the biting winter. People said that a child’s personality would develop according to the first five years of their lives. And the first five years of Renata’s life was watching her mother and father outside, her mother and father cooking little food with the scare amount they had, her mother and father sitting at the table, looking at the window and talking about grown up things- not having enough food for them, but only their child. One could say that Renata tried to help, she wanted to be responsible, but she found herself always collapsing from the work.
When she grew older, her body seemed to hold itself well enough, but still, she got ill much too easily to work in the fields, so she busied herself with any light work she could do, cleaning, cooking, sewing, or even just making the bed. She knew she wasn’t much help, but even when she was sure she could do something- her parents- being overprotective that they were, would tell her that it was too much for her and she should find something else to do. It started to be in her nature to try it anyway, to be as much help as possible. She did little things like walking outside and picking some fruits and making breakfast or baking bread for her mother and father when they were sleeping, and slipping back into bed to pretend to be asleep so she wouldn’t be reprimanded for it. She, growing up, felt guilty. She was just in the way, with another mouth to feed and yet she can’t do anything to contribute. She kept that feeling in when it came to her family, she often she thought it would just be easier to just give into it, and just leave her family along. Suicidal thoughts often came to mind during the long intervals of the day; but her parents clearly adored her, and she couldn’t imagine what they would do if she died, she didn’t know if they would be happy or miss her. And she didn’t want to be the burden, yet again, even in death.
Then one day, her parents made enough scraps of money to buy some tools that they needed, and having to tend to the field, they sent Renata to go. And she did, taking the family horse and money and heading into town. She was felt a little foolish, people dressed differently and often she was overwhelmed that so many people were out in the streets. The stores and shops that lined the streets were nothing that she had seen before, and she was a little put off by the place, not knowing where to go to get the things that her family had sent her out to buy. The people weren’t much help, some didn’t even respond to her inquires and others simply pointed in the direction she needed o go, rather then show her, or give her direction. Eventually, she found it, brought what she needed, and got ready to go home and give it to her father.
She never made it home.
As she rounded a corner, she saw someone sitting alone in the corner of the alley. He had his head in his hands and he seemed to be in pain, so without thinking, she advanced, standing only a few feet away from him. She bent down; remember asking him if he was alright. What happened next was really anyone’s guess. Her memory was cut short from there. And she found herself on the dirty, cold street, pain searing through her, the effects even worse then when she became ill growing up. Her body seemed to hang between death and living, as if she was being tortured enough for it to hurt, but not enough for her to die. And she couldn’t control, all she really could do was scream, the sound echoing back to her. She wasn’t aware of anything, she couldn’t pause the feeling to grip her bearings and with even so, she couldn’t move. What happened- when she glued the pieces together, was that the man had turned her, and he stopped, his motives in the end remained unknown, but he had dragged her body into an abandoned building near the dying parts of town that people believed to be haunted (with good reason).
Upon her awakening as a newborn, she couldn’t control her hunger. Confused, frustrated and overwhelmed, she wasn’t able to understand the concept of what had happened until she had unknowingly wiped out the small town, her thirst uncontrollable until the Volturi arrived. They weren’t that surprised, vampires had in the past, had become rather rogue. But when they moved in to capture her, she immediately defended herself using her powers that came with her turning. And that, of course, sparked Aro’s interest, and he offered her a spot in the Volturi. Pressured and unwilling to be murdered, she agreed.
Leaving everything behind, she fulfilled the role of being a guard. She never spoke to her parents again, and often, she wondered how they were doing. She didn't like her life, and she wondered if things would have been better if she had declined joining the coven. But in the end, she reminded herself that she already chose, and she won't go back on it.
YOUR NAME & AGE ;; Renny
HOW DID YOU FIND US? ;; Your mom told me.
SAMPLE POST ;;Renata frowned. Was it wrong to say that the castle was too loud for her liking? Aro didn't seem to be in any danger, he seemed to be having fun planning the party, ordering people to do specific things until it was too his liking. Renata wasn't a fan of parties, she had never attended one until she joined the Volturi, and found that she didn't like it at all. What was the part of a masquerade when you know who is under the mask by their scent and voice? It didn't make any sense. And when everyone was going wit a date, she always was alone, the one just being in the corner just watching and making sure that things go smoothly. Everyone was all smiles, and all she could do was watch. Though she didn't mind it at all, she had to stay until it was over, she couldn't get away and just relax. She made her- a little sad actually, that so many vampires would be there, and the fact that she didn't like crowds annoys her a little more.
But for the sake of everyone, she did what she asked. But at the moment that Aro said she was not needed, she left. Right out of the castle to Caesar's Courtyard. The 'silence' was much better, and the smell of humans comforted her a little, she wasn't sure why, but it did. Maybe it was because she needed her meal to stable her self-control just a little. She felt a little worn as she sat down on a bench, watching people pass by, sometimes giving her a second look before reluctantly moving ahead. She stayed silent, looking up at the sky absently. She couldn't stay long, but just for the moment, she wanted to be comfortable, so she leaned back against the tree that the bench was placed in front of as she closed her eyes. She concentrated on breathing. In and out, it made her feel better, even if it wasn't necessary.
She froze when she felt another vampire near. The scent familiar, and immediately, she knew who he was. It was Demetri. She straightened up and looked at where he was coming from, if she was human she could feel her heart pounding. She was slightly scared, since their talk, he seemed upset, and though she thought about asking if he was okay, his temper seemed to lash out, and she didn't know why. She feared it was her fault, but he kept locking himself in his room that she never saw him anymore.
It was apparent that he was coming this way, and he looked in his direction, waiting to see what happened next. It was why she rarely spoke, she feared that she would say the wrong thing.
