Analisa Mia Chavez couldn't believe what was taking place. Tristan was gone from her life so long ago, and she was more than excited that he finally came back. At the best timing too, considering her father was stalking her and her brothers place. It wasn't safe for her anymore and her brother would soon know that through Tristan when he went on patrols. She was planning on staying at his place for a while, considering it would be safer since her father wouldn't know where it was.
Tristan went off on patrols late that night, leaving Mia to the house alone. She luckily had her camera with her as she walked out onto the porch and began to snap pictures of the scenery around her. It would all be going into her portfolio when she went back to school. How she loved photography. She wanted to get a picture of Tristan when he came back. Mia sighed lightly pulling her knees up into the rocking chair she was in.
She wondered if he knew how much she loved him. She had forgiven him the moment she saw him on the beach when she was running from her father. Looking out into the distance she could see a wolf emerging through the woods, one of the pack, but it was too shadowed for her to tell which one of them it was. She hoped it was Tristan coming home, she missed his company already, and she didn't want to let him go ever again. She lost him once, she couldn't lose him again.

Tristan hated leaving Mia at home by herself, but he had patrols, another thing he hated. He was an open book in his wolf form, they all were. On his way to patrols he tried to clear his mind of her, the less they knew about the whole situation, the less would know how much he cared. Though he wasn’t sure how he’d keep this from Mason. Tristan sighed as he silently padded through the forest, dreading the long, uneventful hours to come.
Finally patrols were over, Tristan was tired, but he was excited to be coming home again. He sauntered through the woods in his wolf form. It felt nice to enjoy things for once, like this night. The air was cool as usual, and the clouds covering the moon was shimmering from moonlight that hit it, not strong enough to penetrate the clouds. As he reached closer to home he saw Mia on the porch, camera in hand. He smiled to himself, he made a mental note to ask her if he could see some of her pictures sometime.
Tristan trotted around behind the house so he could changed back into his human form and walked back out to greet her. “Aren’t you cold?” He asked her softly with a slightly sheepish grin. He walked up the porch and stood next to her, the heat from his body was enough to keep her warm without having to go back inside for a blanket. “So, how are you?” He asked turning to her and meeting her eye. He missed her a lot when he was gone. Yeah he could have always called her up and say sorry and be friends again, but back then he was a coward. He didn’t want to risk her getting hurt and above all, he couldn’t trust his heart like he could his brain.
Tristan liked the forest at night, it was peaceful, not a lot of activity. Everything settled down and there was a quiet hush that fell upon it once the sun went down. As opposed to during the daytime. Everything was alive and moving and always rushing. Everything was louder, birds were always chirping and twigs were always snapping and the occasional tree branch snapping. Tristan was more comfortable at night.
