Maeve wanted some alone time. After her argument with Bianca a few days ago, she couldn't go back to her creator after she had her 'lunch' any time soon. So instead, Maeve wandered around Port Angeles. She and Bianca were staying there a few days before they went up to Vancouver next Saturday. Bianca did not want to stay here in Washington State very long, she said it was a place filled with bad luck, and vampires. The enormous Cullen family lived here, and they had a tendency to have bad luck. The Volturi hated them to no end, and recently they got attacked by a vampire named Victoria's newborn army. Maeve lately seemed to lately oppose everything Bianca said after their argument, and in the end the two of them were staying for three days. No more, no less. And Maeve would make the most of this stop. Taking out her camera, one of those more fancier ones, Maeve began to take pictures. She took pictures of whatever seemed most interesting about Port Angeles. Soon, by the time Maeve had reached Port Angeles Park, her camera was filled with pictures. Looking around, Maeve found a bench, and decided to sit down for a few minutes.
There was no humans around, which was good, because even though Maeve had just drained some other humans, she wasn't sure she had the strength to resist them. Her resistance to blood was somewhat stronger than most, but maybe not strong enough to resist more than one human. Clouds covered the sky, so Maeve's skin wouldn't sparkle like millions of diamonds, and that was good. She obviously wouldn't be considered human if she sparkled in front of a few humans, and if some human did spot her and somehow the Volturi heard about it, well, that wouldn't be good. Because then the Volturi would be after her, and Maeve didn't want that at all. She wanted to find out if Sloan was a vampire first, control her blood thirst, and maybe watch her family from a tree to make sure that they were doing well. Maeve could remember her family as clearly as she could remember the previous day, thanks to her talent. She could also remember Sloan, too. She could remember everything about him. Spotting something behind a tree, Maeve took a quick picture of it. Looking closely at the picture, Maeve could see a familiar face, with vampire qualities. She gasped then tasted the air. Yes, it was a vampire.
Looking down at the picture, Maeve realized one of her dreams had already been fulfilled. Happiness and joy flooded her inwardly, and outwardly she had a hard time keeping a straight face. She had to make sure that it was who she thought it was... she had to. Tilting her head so she could see the vampire better, Maeve could tell it was who she thought it was. The vampire had the same hair and almost all of the same features. Hesitantly, Maeve asked the vampire in a voice that it would hear, "Sloan? Is that you?"
