the world comes to life and everything's right FROM BEGINNING TO END WHEN YOU HAVE A FRIEND BY YOUR SIDE THAT HELPS YOU TO FIND THE BEAUTY YOU ARE, WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR HEART • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • Corin mused as her footsteps echoed off the stone corridor's walls. She hadn't meant to attack the child, but she was forced too. She was just so hungry - and her power wasn't up to par with Aro's expectation. With all the reckless vampires running in the world, the nineteen-year-old (or so she posed as) knew that her Master would most likely send her on a few missions soon enough - anything that wasn't a greater threat to the vampire world and a meek newborn was considered a low level warning - thus, Corin, as the assassin, was sent after it. The Volturi member groaned slightly under her breath, a habit from her facade as humans from time to time. "Damn humans," she spit out in a trilling voice, a hiss accompanying the statement. Those humans were the reason she was so wrung out. If it wasn't for them, she wouldn't have to feed, and thus she wouldn't have had to drink that man's blood, and his daughter wouldn't have had to watch her father be murdered, and then Corin wouldn't have had to attack the little girl as well, and then feed off of her to clear the evidence, and then have enough power for Aro. It was a cycle she was quite bitter about. Normally, Corin would prefer to feed when food was brought to the castle much like the rest of the Volturi, but, days like today, her power wasn't at its strongest, which meant she wasn't. It was days like these she could live life simple as a human. It was days like these she wished she was still with Cass. [/ul] • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • gift of a friend by demi lovato. credit * MAKE A WISH , of CAUTION 2.0 [/ul]

The car pulled into the shelter of the shadows of the castle before parking and cutting the engine. It was sleek black car that fit one vampire’s sometimes seemingly expensive taste. The windows of the back of the car were blacked out to shield the tracker from the sun as the driver took him from the airport to the castle. The driver, one of those humans that the Volturi often made empty promises to, got out of the car and opened Demetri’s door. It wasn’t often the tracker took the pleasure of enjoying the luxuries of the castle.
He stepped out the car and faced his driver. “Take my things up to my chambers, will you?” His voice was polite though he didn’t take much interest in the human pets the Volturi obtained. They were humans and they would never be more than that. What they were promised would never come true. And they would be a meal just like any other human to him was a meal. The driver gave a large smile and said he’d be happy to and with that Demetri turned and disappeared into the castle.
He walked the corridors slowly with his hands in his pants pockets of his guard wear. It was a mean or stretching his legs in a sense. His trip had been pleasant for the most part although Brazil wasn’t exactly his favorite place. But he had been itching to get back to the castle for a few days and his impatience had made the flight back almost unbearable. And as he walked the empty halls he found the castle to be just as it had been when he left just two weeks ago. Not that Demetri had expected any changes. The castle still looked the same as it did, the very first time he arrived here.
Her scent was in his nose before he actually saw her. The assassin. He met her as he came to the corner with a small polite smile on his lip. “Afternoon, Corin,” he said with a nod. He looked her over for a moment, noting to bright crimson of her eyes. Sometimes she fed on her own to keep her power at its max, he knew that. There were other things about her though. Her looks were one thing. She was pretty, he’d admit. Her human habits sometimes interested him. But he also noticed she seemed maybe a little distracted. “Been hunting?”

After all, Demitri was the one who had aided in her recapture all those years ago when she was with Cass. He was one of those who had tracked her down with his power. He was one of those who was responsible for her misery now a days. But she couldn't blame him, Corin realized. He was just following orders. And others - the nameless - had helped too. It was simple, almost, and to evade them for two years wasn't that long. He met her with a smile, and she forced herself a small smile in return; she felt his eyes on her own, and she knew he was looking at the brightness in shade of hers. "Of course," she responded in a trilling voice. "I've had nothing better to do as of lately. How about you, Demetri? I trust that your recent activities have been... enjoyable?"[/ul] • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • gift of a friend by demi lovato. credit * MAKE A WISH , of CAUTION 2.0 [/ul]
